This past year has flown by. It feels like just yesterday I was doing Jace’s newborn session and now we finished up his first year of pictures. I met up with Jace and his parents at their house so we got to wander around doing pictures there. My favorite pictures (and Jace’s favorite part of picture taking) were playing on the swingset.
I’ve been lucky enough to take this sweet family’s pictures the past few years. The girls both have so much personality and I always enjoy getting to see them. We have lots of discussions on favorite cartoons and toys. This family moved South at the end of summer and I’m sorry to see them go. They have been a joy to shoot!
I had been having some bad luck with the weather and this family photography session was one that needed to be rescheduled. We squeezed our session in the following morning and though the ground was soaked we had a beautiful day. It’s always fun to do a family session with older kids. There were no little ones to worry about and make sure to get looking in the right direction. All of the big “kids” did fantastic smiling and looking when they were supposed to. 😉 This family also brought their pup who performed perfectly. Having my little five year old assistant with me helped in that regards. I enjoy when families want their family pet to be included. Pets are a big part of the family too! I’m thankful to have clients that are willing to work with my schedule and the weather. I was glad we could get their session in on the weekend they were all together.
This gorgeous family contacted me to take their family photos and include some extended family members. Multiple family photography can be a little crazy. Getting that many people to look AND smile in one direction isn’t always the easiest. Lucky for me this group did great. And those little girls! Five girls under the age of six…but boy, did they listen and smile when they were supposed to. After the pictures were all done the girls got to play on the swingset and for me, those are always the most fun pictures to take.
