Last year I joined a photography group on Facebook where we share photos, receive critique and support one another. I am constantly inspired by the other photographers in the group. One of the photographers, a very talented woman from Louisiana, frequently shares amazing bridal portraits. Apparently in the South having a bridal session before your wedding is very popular. The bride has the opportunity to wear her dress, get dolled up and have some beautiful pictures done in the process. I instantly knew I had to do a one and I had just the bride.
Brittney is one of those people that you meet and instantly notice her beauty. It probably takes less than two minutes talking to her that you see her beauty goes much deeper. I suggested a bridal session to her and she was game. We met up on a gorgeous autumn day in Humiston Woods just outside of Pontiac, IL. It was the perfect time of year to be out there. The wooded area has amazing tall trees that all had gorgeous yellow and orange leaves. I was not disappointed by the afternoon light either…so warm and perfect. As I took the pictures I just got more and more excited. I could hardly wait to get the images on my computer when I got home. I think I immediately emailed one to Brittney because I was so thrilled by the images. The worst part of the whole thing was not being able to share the photos anywhere until she got married in May.
I’m so glad we had the opportunity to do this bridal session. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with Brittney and this was no exception. I’ll be sharing pictures from Brittney and Nic’s wedding soon so stay tuned for more of this gorgeous bride.
